Filing A Warranty Claim












     
  Before filing a warranty claim:
   

T.H.E. Machine Company warranties equipment for one year from the orginal purchase date. The warranty is valid for all owners during the one year warranty period. Note that warranty begins on the first day of ownership to the first owner. If you are a second or subsequent owner the warranty does not begin on the first day of your ownership.

Make certain the piece of equipment you are claiming is not out of warranty prior to filing a claim.

Machine vehicle identification numbers (VIN) have been added to the warranty claim form. All machines covered by warranty are listed according to our records. To ensure proper processing make sure to select the correct VIN.

  New warranty procedure - EFFECTIVE APRIL 2, 2007:
   

File a claim online.

You will receive a confirmation E-Mail which will include your claim number.

The claim number will also serve as your RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization).

If more information is needed to process your claim you will be notified prior to receiving a claim number.

Once you receive a claim number failed parts must be returned within 30 days. Beginning April 2, 2007 there will be absolutely no exceptions to our 30 day warranty part return policy.

When the failed parts are received by T.H.E. Machine Company, we will send them to the original manufacturer for a determination of warranty validity.

Upon receiving the determination from the original manufacturer your company will receive a statement of findings.

A warranty claim found to be valid will be processed as a credit memo.

   
  What you need to know:
   

Be certain all required and pertinent information is included in your claim. Incomplete information will delay your claim and may result in denial.

All correspondence must include the assigned claim number.

All packages must have the assigned claim number clearly marked on the outside of the packaging.

Previous versions of warranty claim forms will not be accepted after April 2, 2007.

Mileage is not claimable.

Shipping costs from your facility to ours are not reimbursable. T.H.E. Machine Company will cover shipping costs from our facility to yours.

Labor hours and rate are subject to limitations determined by T.H.E. Machine Company.

   
  About outside vendor repairs:
   

If your company hired another company to repair a piece of equipment there are additional steps to follow.

Use the online warranty claim form to submit your claim.

Once you receive a confirmation E-Mail (including the claim number), you must submit proof of purchase.

Fax any invoices received from the outside vendor(s) to T.H.E. Machine Company (320)634-4563.

Please use a cover page which includes the following:
Your company name
Contact name
Company address
Company Phone Number
Company Fax Number
ATTN: Melissa Roatch, WARRANTY DEPT.
Claim #: (put assigned claim number here)

The remainder of the warranty process is as described above.

   
  Special instructions for Hertz Equipment:
    All warranty claims must be directed to the Park Ridge, NJ office. Claims will be filed on your behalf by that office.
